Risk taking

We went to the ocean during high tide while on the Cape. Gwenchik rushed down to the water rolling up her pants as she ran along.
Me: Gwenchik, please be careful and watch out for waves.
Gwen: I do not want to. I LIKE taking risks, because it is an adventure. I need more adventures in my life! Also you are here so nothing can happen to me, right?

Wheelchair travel in the future

Gwen: When you get really old and wrinkly then I will buy you a wheelchair and we will travel to China and Vietnam.

Me: Well, it is not that easy to travel in a wheelchair.

Gwen: Why not? You get free parking!

We are off to Moscow

Today we are finally off to Moscow for our long awaited vacation and the very first visit to her mother's homeland for my daughter. Gwenchik woke up at dawn and has been asking every 10 minutes

Gwen: When are we going to go to the airport?

Me: At 1 o'clock

Gwen (9:15): Are we going soon?

Gwen (9:30): Is it time to go?

......

I have 4 more hours of this....

After School

We have a GREAT after school program and on the early release days they organize field trips. So far they went to CoCo Water country and to a farm to collect apples.

Gwen: Tomorrow we will go on another field trip! Yeee!

Me: Great that you like them.

Gwen: Oh, I like them more that school itself. We get to run around and have fun instead of sitting in class learning letters. I can read so it is soooooooo boring.

Chocolate

Gwenchick is back from her vacation on Cape Cod and she looks quite tanned.

George: Oh, you are so tanned, so brown
Gwen: I am not brown, I am CHOCOLATE!
